Last trip: 15 month around the world journey through South America, Europe, India and South East Asia.

Dream travel itinerary: A motorcycle adventure starting in the desert pistes of Morocco, down the coast of Mauritania in search of virgin surf, across to Mali to study with a djembefola (African drum master) and finally through the voodoo trails of Burkina Faso.

Ambition: To one day discover a real version of “The Beach” where I can happily see out my days (with no maps and no ‘Leonardo’).

Travel tip: Find your own travel rhythm and surrender to free will. Take all the time you need to absorb the landscapes, people and customs of the places which capture you most – even if it means deferring from a pre-planned itinerary. The essence of travel is in the richness of your experience and not the number of destinations you visit.
